Heroes!

Patch 1.5 went live yesterday and today we're plugging some holes.

22 Feb - Hotfix - 1.5.0.4
  • HUD scale can now be decreased down to 50% of the actual size (down from 70%).
  • All HUD-components are now effected by the HUD scaling.
  • Fixed an issue where players could select hero skins for salvage.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chaos Spawn despawned (was killed in Event mode) while grabbing a player
  • Fixed Twitch mode HUD not appearing for clients

20 Feb - Hotfix - 1.5.0.3
  • Kerillian's Glaive - moved the block input up in priority plus added a short block cancel-window at the start of each light sweep which should enable players to cancel out reliably. This should stop cases where the glaive did a light attack instead of blocking, in the case where block input is held.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a crash if g...

Heroes!

Breaking down a few of the bigger known issues in this thread:
  • Mods are a bit knackered. We suggest you check this thread for instructions - https://steamcommunity.com/app/552500/discussions/0/3203652426719631094/
  • First Grimoire on the Pit is unreachable.
  • UI scaling is a bit messed up above 1080p, we're looking in to it.
  • Kerillian's eyes might look a bit bleached out on DX12, and Kruber's face a bit blurry. We're on it.
  • Hero Skins appear in the salvage window (but cannot be salvaged). This will be corrected so they do not appear, and we will also run a script soon whic...

The paintings are a permanent fixture. The events will continue as well but we will rotate the mutator on offer each week (there will of course be some repetition as we cycle through the available mutators).

Lots of mods are broken but there are also some fairly big crashes without mods, which we are preparing fixes for and hope to get out tomorrow (EU time)

It's a known issue with DX12.

I can see the patch notes, but no further details on how to get the paintings :/

EDIT: Seems like an exciting update though!

I think it's one of the IB weapons interacting with the Third Person Equipment mod.

Heroes!

Welcome to Patch 1.5 - bringing you two new features and of course some fixes and tweaks.

Introducing the new Weekly Events! We hinted at these live on our Fatshark Stream a few weeks ago and we're pleased to bring you the first set of Weekly Events with this update. Think of these like Mutators that shake up the gameplay and add new interesting twists to the Vermintide experience you know and love.

This update also introduces the long awaited chance to populate the Picture Frames found on the walls of your Keep. You can start accessioning your collection of fine works as of today. Details on how the current batch of available art is acquired can be found in the patch notes that follow.

We'd also love it if you could spent a couple of minutes with our ... Read more

We're looking in to updating the OST with the next patch. However, some music is actually just small loops and samples weaved together in game play and wouldn't be released as singular standalone tracks.

In V1, for example, the Steam Room in one of the Karak Azgaraz maps wasn't a standalone track. I believe (but need to confirm) the same can be said for the Fortunes of War piece.

All of the file size for Vermintide 2 is the game. There's a potential saving to be had if we were to 'remaster' (so to speak) but that would require every single person re-downloading the entire game client. There's very little space taken up by cut or unused material though.

Sooner than March 8 but not today. The change is indeed a backend change.

Ideally we'd need to see your locally generated log since it doesn't seem to be uploading. fatshark.se/support <- make a ticket there including your latest console log and crash dump from the app data folder(s)

  • WIN KEY + R
  • In the "Run" box, type...
    %appdata%
    ...and press enter.
  • Find the Fatshark folder in there. Delete the Vermintide 2 folder within.

it is on top of the list. Tried launching modded realm without mods still crashes on startup.
I'd suggest resetting your mod environment. Unsubscribe to all mods. Clear the workshop folder, remove your appdata settings for Vermintide 2 and start over. Probably have a mod that's no longer sanctioned causing grief.

Anything running in the background? 100% CPU usage is not inherently a bad thing when gaming, but can sometimes indicate a bottleneck
